Email Manager - SEND A MESSAGE

Proofing

Proofing allows you to check that Email Contents render correctly before a deployment is sent. You should only use Proof Mode when sending to a dummy or seed list. Typically the recipients will be members of your team who will proofread the email.

Deploying a message in proof mode will send a separate message to the selected recipient(s) for each template in the Email Content. So if you deploy a message in proof mode that has got three Contents, each recipient will receive three different versions of the message - one for each Content.

In step 2 of Send a Message you click on the folder icon to select the Content(s) you want to use in your deployment. A dialog box opens which includes the Proof Mode (Send all Content) check box.

Note: Only Email Contents are deployed in Proof Mode, Webpage Contents cannot be sent as part of a Proof Mode deployment.

To prevent a user inadvertently deploying to a live list in proof mode, a number of checks have been put in place. When you click the Next Step button, a warning message appears asking if you are sure you want Proof Mode.

In addition, any messages sent in proof mode will have the text 'PROOF' appended to the subject line.
