Editing a List

Edit List Properties

To edit the details of an existing list, select the list and then click the Edit List Properties button from section 3. You will then be able to change the list Name, Category, Description, and recipient preferences that were entered when the list was created. There are also two additional options that are only editable on this screen:

  1. "Convert to a regular list": This option will only be enabled for Smartlists. This will convert a Smartlist to a regular list.

  2. "This list should be selected by default": This option will only be enabled for suppression lists. When selected, the list will be automatically selected as a suppression list in Send a Message.

When a list is renamed, the events associated with that list are also renamed, for example – “Opt In: <listname>”.

Remove Fields

To add or remove List Fields from an existing List, click the Edit List Fields button from section 3. On the left hand side you can remove any fields (except the primary key field) by ticking them and selecting the Remove Fields button.

Add Fields

On the right hand side you can add additional fields to the list from other lists in the system that have got the same primary key. Browse to the required list, tick the field(s) that you would like to add, and click the Add Fields button. 

  

Edit Field Attributes

You can edit the Show in recipient preferences page attribute for existing fields as follows:

  1. Select the List under Select List.

  2. Click the Edit List Fields button.

  3. Right click on the list field in the left hand column and select Edit Field Properties:

Displays the Edit Field dialogue where you can edit the attribute.
