Editing Creative Contents

After a Creative has been created, you can edit its contents.

It is important to note that if the Approvals and Notes functionality is enabled in Campaign Manager, any email creatives used as part of a campaign that is live or in an approval state are locked. If you try and save, a warning message appears indicating the campaigns where the creative is locked. To make any updates, move the campaign to an ending state. You can select Save as to make a copy of the creative

There are two ways you can edit creative Contents:

Either:

  1. From the Campaign Builder home page, open the Creative from the Recent Creatives section.

  2. Click on the Content you wish to edit on the Contents bar.

OR:

  1. Search and open the Creative from the Document Explorer.

  2. Click on the Content you wish to edit on the Contents bar.

  3. You can edit the contents of your Contents in the following view modes:

    • Source View - displays your Content contents in HTML

    • Design View - displays your Content contents in the WYSIWYG editor

  4. Click the Save button on the Ribbon bar at the top of the screen to save your changes. If any new variables, events or pictures have been added you are taken to the content processor to map any that have not been mapped.

When you have saved your changes, it is recommended to view the Creative in Preview mode to see how recipients will receive the Content. You can make any further changes if necessary.

Note: Editing a Content while its Creative is running could effect the delivery performance and success results of that Creative.
