Variables

The following back end variables are available for use on GDC forms. You will need to type these variables into the relevant places on the GDC Form, as they are stored in the back end they will not show up in the content processor.


  • {GDCForm}: Defines the form as a GDC form so when submitted the details will be submitted to EM.

  • {AddList:ListIDorName}: Defines the list each record will be added to / updated in. Multiple {AddList:xx}’s can be used per form.

  • {Redirect:CreativeIDorName}: Defines the page the user will be taken to when the form is submitted.

  • {SetField:FieldIDorName}: Defines the list field to be updated from the associated form tag.

  • {SetPref:Unsubscribed}: Similar to {SetField:xx}, this sets the global unsubscribe field for the chosen recipient (is often used with Preference Pages). You can view a recipient’s unsubscribe status in List Manager. {Pref:Unsubscribed} will output a True/False value to denote a recipient’s subscription status.

  • .{SetPref:PrefersText}: Similar to {SetField:xx}, this sets the ‘prefers text’ field for the chosen recipient (is often used with Preference Pages).You can view a recipient’s ‘prefers text’ status in List Manager. {Pref:PrefersText} will output a True/False value to denote a recipient’s subscription status

  • {SetPref:Preferencename}: To be used for Check boxes. Similar to {SetField:xx}, this sets the preference field for the chosen recipient. {Pref:Preferencename} will output a True/False value to denote a recipient’s subscription status for the given preference.

  • {ViewLink:CreativeIDorName}: When setting up a link from your email to the GDC Form, use this as the hyperlink to link your email to your GDC Form.  {ViewLink:CreativeID} – Will enable Email Manager to recognise which recipient has clicked through to the Form, and therefore can match responses to individuals.The following back end variables are available for use on GDC forms.
